Leaving Gethsemani several Sundays ago, I turned to this lovely view. One of the readings that morning came to mind as I sketched the scene. "In the land of the living" is the title of this one showing the lovely knobs around the monastery and the road leading home. Spring was in the air but had not shown itself. It was still hiding in those blue hills.
