My favorite flowering tree in the spring is the Soulangiana magnolia - tulip tree. They have not begun to bloom but today I saw a pink cherry tree in bloom and it whetted my appetite for the tulip tree. Last year the tulip trees were as full as I have ever seen them in Kentucky so I will try to lower my expectations for this year's blossom. But whenever they come I will delight in their wild stark silky petals.

Thank you for that little glimpse of spring. That is beautiful. Will you be painting those wonderful blooms of spring?
ReplyDeleteWould love to see more of your work.
Oh this tree is a beauty and sings spring!
ReplyDeleteI love that I can get a "blossom" report from my sister in Kentucky to let me know when to anticipate the next bloom. We are ever so patient for spring.
ReplyDeleteOnly a few weeks behind you.
Just may have to fly down there for a sneaky peek of what is about to begin.
